Michael Albrecht brings nearly two decades of investment experience focused on infrastructure. Prior to joining Ridgewood, Michael was a senior executive at Allstate Investments, where he served as Acting Global Head and Direct Investments Head of the Infrastructure & Real Assets group. He was also the sole representative of the Private Asset Group on the Allstate Investments’ risk management credit committee. Prior to joining Allstate, Michael was a Senior Acquisitions Officer in JPMorgan Asset Management’s Infrastructure Investments Private Equity Fund, where he made approximately $1.5 billion of acquisitions within many infrastructure-related sectors in North America and Europe. In those capacities, he served on various portfolio company boards to ensure business plan execution, refinancing analysis, business-line divestiture/acquisition analysis, and to identify and hire executive officers. Michael also served as an Analyst at Altrinsic Global Advisors LLC, a $5+ billion asset manager of equity funds, where Michael led global coverage of several infrastructure sectors. Michael began his career at RBC Dain Rauscher and Citigroup, in private wealth management and equity research, respectively. Michael received a MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stockton University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He currently serves on the University’s Foundation Board of Directors and is Chairman of the Foundation’s Investment Committee. Michael is also a CFA® charterholder.
